Awesome FireFox Plugin:
Wow, we are very excited. We have just finished creating (and are already massively using it ourselves) a FireFox plugin for ViralURL… it’s called: ViralPlugin
So step #1 is to install it! If you don’t use FireFox yet, you really should. It is a lot safer and faster then other browsers and you can get it free, here .
The plugin makes it super duper fast and easy to cloak links. To thank our almost 50,000 active members for your support and allowing us to make ViralURL what it is today, we wanted to also throw another awesome contest…
New Contest:
This time the contest will not only be for top referrers, but we will also make it for active plugin users (or people who cloak a lot of links even without using the plugin. ViralPlugin just makes it so much faster and easier).
So here are the contest rules. There are two contests running at the same time. Both will come to an end when the top referrer refers 500 new ViralURL members from the time the contest starts. The first contest is a referral contest and places will be determined by the number of referrals you make. Here are the prizes…

The second contest is a link cloaking contest. It works like this… the person with the most links with at least 10 unique visits in a day will win. This is on any given day over the period of the contest. We expect the contest to last about 30-45 days. The best approach to winning this one, is to cloak as many links as you can (never share a link if its not cloaked) with the cloaker (so easy with the ViralPlugin ) and then use it in places like Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Forums, Blog Posts, Emails etc. Wherever you normally share links, simply use ViralURL cloaked links instead of normal ones.
The 10 visits needed on that day is to ensure that you are not just mass spamming links or mass creating links and not using them. Only cloak links that you plan on sharing and using. This will be a fun contest, and remember, each day you have a chance to better what you did on another day.
This contest ends when the first one does (when the first person gets to 500 new referrals). There are prizes for the top 10 finishers so it should be easy for you to get on the list! Here are the prizes for this part of the contest…

Contest starts in just over 12 hours
I think the ViralPlugin is a very good Idea, but first you maybe should take care that EVERYTHING works with VU the way it should!
1) as I recently noticed, the counter of ALL newly cloaked URLs in my account is at ‘0’ – Zero! And of course I DO know that those links were clicked several times – will you fix this ?
2) Why is the Live Support always ‘away’ or ‘offline’? In the year I am a member now i have NEVER(!) seen the Support beeing online!

Your questions come at a good time We fixed the first problem you mentioned just today (it was a small DB issue since we change the db last week) and the 2nd question about live support. We now have 2 full time support staff and they started offering the live support 2 days ago. They also work different shifts so we have around 14 hours a day of support.

I have been starting to cloak links with Viral URL before and it works just fine. However, with this new Firefox plug-in, it makes everything a whole lot easier!
The process to cloak a links is becoming super fast and easy! It is indeed saves as time from doing a profitable task like this (cloaking links)… more time, more money!
