This is an extremely effective website where you can place a classified ad…for FREE.  I just found out about this site last year and I am amazed on how much response I have received from this.

Go to:   http://www.craigslist.com

Then click on any city on the right where you want to place your add. 

Then click on “post to classifieds” on the left.

 Run the ad under "Services Offered"...then "Small Biz Ads.

 Just type in the headline and the ad you want to use. 

After you have completed this, they will send you a link in your e-mail to confirm your ad.  Your ad will run for 30 days after you confirm it.  Mark the date on your calendar because you will have to repost it again after it expires.

You are not allowed to have 2 identical ads running in 2 cities at the same time. You can change the ads and subject lines around a bit if you want do more than one city.  You will also need a separate e-mail address for each ad.

Another FREE marketing Strategy:

You know all those applications you get from Credit Card Companies to apply for their credit cards (I got 3 more in the mail today)…well…they often come with a Pre-Paid self addressed return envelope.

Here is what you do with those…

Print a flyer or have some business cards made up with a small one or two line ad about Canadian Diamond Traders.

Then simply send a flyer or business card back in the prepaid envelope. The workers who open those envelopes will be surprised to find the flyer inside and will often spend the time to read it and dial in to listen to the sizzle call or get on a conference call.

This type of advertising is FREE and it really get results.
