Marketing & Advertising :: The facebook page for business exposure
Whether you?ve been in business for decades or are just starting out, there are a number of ways to get to know your shoppers. You can send them individual messages asking for feedback, operate a telephone line customers can call to comment on or employ someone to carry out research. All of these will help you get a clearer picture of who your customers are, but odds are that knowledge will come at a high price.
Unfortunately, as of right now, there are no features to let you know who has been looking at your facebook page, which means that you should take a few steps to carefully think about what you are putting on there. This article will give you a few tips on how to keep your Facebook profile safe, as well as walk you through how to hide certain information from outside viewers.
We?ve had several such examples this year, starting of course with the Egyptian Revolution. It started on 25th of Jan, following a series of demonstrations, marches, strikes and protests against the regime of the then President: Hosni Mubarak. The very next day, several Facebook groups were created and tweets (from Twitter) called for mass demonstrations. This led the government to shut down internet access for most of the country. Of course, the idea was to stem the flow of news to the people, and alienate them from the news of all the global support that was pouring in. The ban did not work for long, as a bunch of teenagers were able to set up their own little resistance group- and started to reach out to the world with the help of Technology. Web 2.0 has certainly changed the way we communicate, and this was just another example of it. ?We use Facebook to schedule the protests, Twitter to coordinate, and YouTube to tell the world," as one Egyptian activist tweeted during the protest ? clearly showing what Technology had enabled the people to do. The Egyptian model was later implemented by the people of Yemen, Bahrain, Jordan, Syria and Libya to demonstrate their ire against the dictators of these Middle Eastern States.
All of this means that by having a Facebook presence for your business, you have access to the very people that could become your customers, and Facebook makes it very easy for you to reach out to them directly via its targeted advertising system, the use of sponsored stories and the Facebook Platform.
For those of us in network marketing , you need to know that the Facebook ad approval team does not like us. Based on my experience, you will not be able to get an ad approved that mentions or talks about a home business, making money from home, or any sort of income potential. Your best bet to get an ad approved is to either add value (with a blog) or to focus on lead generation (showing others how to generate leads for their business). I have done the latter.
