One of the easiest and least expensive
ways to earn money online is to join
programs as an affiliate.
You've probably heard of affiliate
programs. Many companies use affiliate
pograms to sell their products. Joining
these programs is usually free, and the
pay is good, normally 50% but sometimes
as high as 70% of what you sell.
If you have a website, you can make
money online with affiliate programs by
posting a link on your web site. When a
customer clicks on that link and buys
the product, you earn a commission.
But the easiest, least expensive way to
be an affiliate is to simply send
people to a business site that is put
up and maintained by someone else. You
get a URL for their site which includes
your ID number, and they send you
commissions for all the sales you
generate.
There are many advantages to making
money online with affiliate programs.
Startup costs are minimal. The only
money you spend is to promote the
product, whether through a website or
other means. You don't actually sell
the product, so you don't spend time
shipping the products or money to buy
them at wholesale prices, hoping to
sell them later. Another advantage is
that you don't have to worry about
unsatisfied customers returning the
product to you.
Go to Google or another major search
engine and look at websites in your
area of interest. For example, if you
are interested in music, look at sites
devoted to your favorite musicians that
offer affiliate programs. Study them to
see how they place ads. Notice your own
responses to those ads. Some are
annoying, but others will make you want
to click through. Learn from this and
place ads similar to those that
interested you.
Ezines seem to have the most responsive
readers, if you find those that cater
to your products or services. Again, do
a search, and you will find thousands
of ezines where you can place ads free
or for a small cost.
Starting a web business devoted to
something you love is rewarding. If you
need some extra money, making money
online with affiliate programs can be a
great way to add profit to something
you already enjoy.
